Chair's Update May 2022

Dear Members,

I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the warmer and longer days. The Audiology and Otology Guidance has once again been updated, the version of the 9th May 2022 now replaces the previous one from October 2021. As Covid-19 has now been in the UK for over 2 years, we have acquired a much greater understanding of the virus and the disease and this is reflected in the updated guidance, thank you to everyone involved in the most recent update.

Another document recently made available is the Practice Guidance for Auditory Steady State Response (ASSR) Testing, this is now available in the Resources area of the BSA website with thanks to the PGG and EPSIG https://www.www.thebsa.org.uk/resources/bsa-practice-guidance-for-assr-testing/.

We are currently advertising for the Trustee position of Membership Communications Group Lead which closes on the 31st May, and for individuals to join the social media team so if you enjoy communications and social media this may be a great time to get involved with the BSA.

The Annual General Meeting of the BSA will be taking place online on Tuesday 5th July at 2pm. Any member wishing to submit an item or items for inclusion on the agenda, send a proxy vote or submit apologies must submit these to the Secretary, one week prior to the date of the meeting (28/06/2022) by email bsa@thebsa.org.uk
