Students & Early Career Professionals
Not only is the BSA is an organisation for all professionals interested in the latest science and its application in the field of hearing and balance, but it is also equally an organisation and space for students and those embarking on the early stages of their career.
If you are interested in hearing science and/or audiology, you are eligible to join as student member, on proof of student status. Similarly, if you have qualified within the past 5 years, you can join the BSA as an early career professional member. Joining the BSA either as a student or an early career professional will give you a chance to connect with other like-minded individuals, acquire knowledge from others in different stages in their careers and gain access to a variety of tailored resources, as well as being kept up to date with many exciting events. We look forward to welcoming you to the student and ECP groups, and the BSA as a whole.
BSA Buddy
The ‘BSA Buddy’ scheme aims to allow members of the BSA to connect with those with whom they may not usually do so. In particular, the scheme offers the chance for student members of the society to ‘buddy-up’ with an Early Career Professional. And Early Career Professionals can become buddies with a fully established professional member who are more advanced in their careers. The BSA Buddy Scheme endeavours to allow lasting relationships to form across the BSA. We encourage networking, learning from one another and integration within the BSA. You may even arrange to meet your buddy at our scientific meetings/events in the future! We are currently working on the development of this scheme, so please do keep an eye out if you would like to become a BSA Buddy.
