Dr Natallia Kharytaniuk, a Higher Specialist Trainee in Audiovestibular Medicine at the Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospital (UCLH) is looking for BSA members and audiologists to complete a short 5 minute survey.
The studies aim is to collect information about experiences and practices regarding hearing aid(s) uptake and compliance in the paediatric population in the UK.
We know that timely provision and use of hearing aids in children and adolescents have a significant impact on speech development and language acquisition, academic achievement, and social and communication aspects, thus improving their quality of life.
Our team has observed various barriers in hearing aid(s) acquisition and their compliance in paediatric patients. We believe that our experience is not unique, and we would like to gather information about the experiences of clinicians working with paediatric patients in other centres across the UK.
