Chair's Update September 2020

Dear Members,

I hope you are all well in these continuing uncertain times.

The COVID-19 Audiology guidance produced jointly with AIHHP, BAA, and BSHAA was reviewed and updated on 1st September. Updates this time include recommendation of a move to walk-in appointments provided patients are triaged before entering the clinic, a new set of FAQ’s on paediatrics, and an addition about the use of clear masks. See the links below on BSA website.

Look out also for the next issue of Audacity. It includes a dedication to the late Gerald Armstrong-Bednall who many of you will have known or know of for his many important and lasting contributions to audiology and education.

Finally, very much looking forward to our annual conference which will run online from the 12-19h October. Focussed on BSA recommended procedures and highlighting the work of BSA’s special interest groups, it promises to be an excellent informative meeting. We already have over 200 participants signed up, and there is still time to register so don’t miss out!
