The Chief Scientific Officer would like to make you aware that the Scottish Government has published its Programme for Government (PfG) Programme for Government 2026 to 2031 – gov.scot which sets out actions that will be taken in Scotland over the coming year and beyond to improve the lives of our population.
Attach is a letter from Christine McLaughlin – Interim Director-General Health & Social Care and Chief Executive NHS Scotland, outlining some of the key announcements which have been made.
Put simply, the Scottish Government is transforming health and care services so that people in Scotland receive the best treatment, care and support to stay healthy, independent and connected to their communities for as long as possible. I am clear that Healthcare Science is a critical part of ensuring that transformation is successful and look forward to continuing to work with you to maximise positive outcomes for our population in the years to come.
