NICE guideline on Frailty: identification and assessment in adults

NICE are recruiting a range of professional roles and lay members (people using services, family members and carers, and members of the public and community or voluntary sector) to join the Committee for this guideline. NICE are looking for the following roles with an interest and/or experience in the identification and assessment of frailty in adults in primary and community care to join the committee:

• General practitioner 
• Advanced nurse practitioner or other general practice staff 
• Frailty pharmacist
• Physiotherapist 
• Occupational therapist
• Geriatrician
• Care home practitioner working with older people (care home manager, nurse or carer involved in identification and assessments for frailty)
• Social worker or local authority social care practitioner with experience of assessing, identifying and supporting people living with frailty

For these roles they particularly welcome applications from health or social care practitioners who have experience of working as part of neighbourhood health teams and/or working with care homes and/or in a public health context regarding the prevention of frailty progression.

They also welcome applications from people who have experience of working with people with dementia and/or learning disabilities and/or mental health problems.

Recruitment will close at Midnight on Sunday 16^th August, with interviews scheduled to take place on Thursday 27^th August and Friday 28^th August 2026.
