I have worked in the independent hearing care sector since 1977 as a practitioner, trainer and manager….sometimes in all three roles at the same time. I have been a BSA member for almost all of my career in adult audiology and I’m currently a member of the BSA Professional Guidance Group leading on a project to achieve NICE accreditation of BSA practice guidance publications.
My occupation is Professional Services Manager for Amplifon in the UK based at its Head Office in Manchester. Since 2010, I have been a HCPC Partner with roles as a registration assessor and a fitness to practice panel member. Up until January 2015, I was a long serving BSHAA Council member and I remain proud to have been BSHAA President from 2012 to 2014. I am also a Trustee of Hearing Link and my involvement with this hugely worthwhile charity is very special to me.
As Treasurer for the BSA, I very much hope to make a strongly positive contribution to the financial wellbeing and growth of our Society. As a relatively new Trustee, I am also intent on doing whatever I can to widen the relevance and impact of the BSA and to enhance its influence through working collaboratively with Council and other colleagues to realise the intentions of our Strategic Plan for the next three years.
