Aston University – A qualitative study looking at the perspectives of audiologist about implementing cognitive screening into Audiology

18.04.24

Calling all Adult Rehabilitation Audiologists!

BSA Student member, Janvi Soni would like to invite you to participate in an interview looking at your perspective about implementing cognitive screening in Audiology.

Janvi has found research that implies Audiologists who have regular interactions with patients could be the first to notice signs of cognitive impairments. Currently Audiologists do not administer cognitive screening questionnaires and Janvi Soni wishes to understand more about how Audiologists feel about administering these screening tools in the future.

This research involves a video call (up to one hour) where she will interview UK based Audiologists with recent experience in Adult Audiology to give their thoughts and feelings about implementing a cognitive screening tool into Adult Hearing Aid Clinics.

By contacting Janvi you are providing consent to your data being used as part of this research project.

The research and video calls will take place up until 13th January, therefore please do contact Janvi prior to this date with your availability.

Please contact Janvi Soni for more information 159069226@aston.ac.uk or alternatively you may choose to send your comments in an email to bsa@thebsa.org.uk and we will forwards on your behalf.

This project is part of a research dissertation for the MSc Clinical Science being conducted by Aston University.
