ABOUT THE POSITION

An opportunity has arisen for a part time Audiologist position with the Audiology Service at Capital & Coast District Health Board in Wellington, New Zealand.   There may also be the option for the successful candidate to work part time in private practice and/or have a shared position with Hutt Valley District Health Board, 17km north of Wellington.

This position is 20 hours per week 0.5 FTE.

Both experienced audiologists (preferably in paediatric audiology) and new graduates are welcome to apply. Full supervision will be provided as required. Overseas candidates are also welcome to apply. The Audiology service provides comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services to all age groups, based from Wellington Regional and Kenepuru Community Hospitals.

The successful candidate will take pride in providing a high standard of service and expertise to patients under their care, have good interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work flexibly in a busy team environment.

Capital and Coast DHB (CCDHB) is located centrally in Wellington and has the equivalent of around 4,300 full time staff, making us a major employer in the Wellington region. We are also the leading provider of a number of specialist services for the upper South and lower North Islands including neurosurgery, oncology, neonatal intensive care, and specialised mental health services, serving a population of about 900,000 people.
