Chair's Update November 2025
It was sobering to read the outcome of the Kingdon review. Our thoughts immediately go to the children, their families and the professionals involved. We are grateful to all those involved in the review; their openness and hard work contributed so much to this important document. The link to the review and the BSA statement is HERE
Following a very successful major update of the STP Curriculum very recently, there remains the opportunity to provide feedback, or make recommendations for changes in the future. The deadline for changes that could affect this year’s review is 24th November. This is the link to provide this feedback: https://curriculumlibrary.nshcs.org.uk/stp/
At the most recent BSA Council meeting, Ned Carter, our Global Outreach Trustee highlighted how working with a New Zealand audiologist showed the value of early-career professionals in global outreach and fostering partnerships between the BSA and other societies. The BSA also recently contributed to the Malaysian National Society of Audiologists strategic planning workshop. We are working to expand visibility and strengthening global collaborations. As a BSA member if you are working with international partners, we would love to hear about how it is going.
