Laura Turton

BSA Operations Manager

I have been a member of the BSA for a number of years and started as the Operations Manager in February 2015. My previous roles have included 12 years of clinical practice in the NHS, working predominantly with adults, and for three years as a senior services manager in the voluntary sector with a charity supporting people with hearing loss. I completed my MSc in Auditory Science in 2009 and since this time has worked on a number of research projects. I chair a committee for the British Academy of Audiology on Service Quality and I have also held the role of trustee for a hearing loss organisation for three years. I believe my strength is therefore in having a breadth of knowledge across the sector and being able to put these skills in to practice for the BSA. I am excited about this new opportunity and providing operational support to the council and the advisors in reaching our strategic aims. I feel the BSA has moved in to an exciting time through the moderation started by Kevin Munro and I am delighted to be part of the organisation as this continues.
