Welcome to the Paediatric Audiology Interest Group (PAIG) Web-page

 

The group was established in 2000 on the initiative of Josephine Marriage to respond to the interest among BSA members in areas relating to paediatric audiology.


Over the last decade, PAIG membership has increased significantly. Membership of PAIG is indicated by a letter "P" on your BSA mailing label. Please ensure that you keep the Secretariat informed of any changes to your contact details.

Aims of PAIG


  1. To provide a  forum for ALL those interested in Paediatric Audiology, Balance and Hearing Disorders in the UK
  2. To promote good working practice in issues relating to Paediatric Audiology to meet the individual needs of the child and the child's family
  3. To encourage research, development and circulation of information relevant to the work of the Group
  4. To provide mutual support and collective influence for those involved in this field
  5. Any other specified aim approved by Council

PAIG also has a steering group led by the Chair and formed by representatives from all specialities and areas represented in BSA or from other specialities and the voluntary sector. If you are interested becoming part of this group, please let the PAIG Chair know.

 

 

 

What does the PAIG steering group do?


  • Rapid response to documents concerning paediatric audiology matters
  • Organise the annual PAIG conference
  • Support clinical update courses on issues related to paediatric audiology
  • Contributes to the Annual BSA conference and other conferences (e.g. joint meeting with Royal Society of Medicine and British Association of Paediatricians in Audiology
  • Advices council on paediatric audiology matters
  • Supports reviews of guidelines and procedure documents related to paediatric audiology
